Concerts by young artistes

Promising young artistes from Ariyaluru of Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, K. Akshay and V. Mridula, will be respectively presenting Vocal and Solo-Violin concerts on Saturday (Nov. 9) at Sri Mysore Vasudevacharya’s heritage house in the city. While the vocal concert will be between 10.30 am and 12 noon, the violin recital follows it. Vid. Ajeet Sridhar will play mridanga accompaniment for both the concerts. 

Akshay, a CCRT scholarship holder for vocal music, has been tutored by Vid. Delhi V. Muthukumar. He has won several prizes in music competitions, including those at Indian Fine Arts Society. Mridula has learnt under Vid. Ganduri Srinivasa Murthy and is presently a disciple of Vid. R. Raghul from M. Chandrasekaran school. Vid. Ajeet, a disciple of Vid. Chrompet G. Suresh, has performed in many sabhas and temples across Tamil Nadu, accompanying various senior artistes.
