Bengaluru: Miffed over not being announced as the party candidate even in the third list, Congress MLA from Pulakeshinagar (SC reserved) in Bengaluru city, Akhanda Srinivasmurty submitted his resignation as MLA on Sunday.

Akhanda Srinivasmurthy, who drove to Sirsi in Uttar Kannada district, submitted his resignation to Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri at his (Kageri) office in Sirsi. Srinivasmurthy had won from the Constituency by the biggest margin among all the Congress candidates who were elected in the 2018 Assembly polls.
