Bengaluru: The State Congress has begun preparations for the 2018 Assembly polls in right earnest, with the Congress Election Manifesto Committee scheduled to hold its first meeting on Oct.29.
Former CM and MP Dr. M. Veerappa Moily is the Committee President, while Senior Congress Leader B.L.Shankar is the Vice-President.
Veerappa Moily said that Sub-Committees will be formed on various issues after the Oct.29 meeting of the Committee. The Committee members will visit all districts and Assembly segments to find out whether the Congress party’s poll promises made during the last Assembly elections have been fulfilled, he said.
