Mysore/Mysuru: Contributing his mite for mitigating COVID crisis, Congress leader K. Harish Gowda donated Oxygen Concentrator and BiPAP machines to Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri at her office on Tuesday.
Later speaking to press persons Harish Gowda said that he has donated an Oxygen Concentrator, 4 Oxygen BiPAPs and 1,000 face masks to the DC, after deciding that he should give something in return to the society which has given him a lot. He further said that he will donate five more BiPAPs, five Oxygen Concentrators and Oxygen cylinders in a couple of days.
District Surgeon Dr. Rajeshwari bemoaned that most of the patients were visiting Hospitals when their health condition turns critical. Pointing out that Oxygen Concentrators will help patients with low Oxygen saturation level to boost Oxygen levels, she said that BiPAP machines will help patients who are in critical condition in ICUs. Noting that at present there are 23 Oxygen Concentrators in the District Hospital, she said that the Hospital needs 15 more and donors should come forward for donating the same.
District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar and other leaders were present.
