Mysuru: The Minority Wing of Mysore City (District) Congress Committee has urged the authorities to illuminate the streets of Bannimantap ‘C’ Layout and surrounding localities too during the forthcoming Dasara festival.
In a press release, Congress Minority Wing Spokesperson Mirza Jamsheed Baig has stated that, following areas should be illuminated: Hanumanthanagar, Sri Anjaneya Swamy Circle via Main Road, HUDCO Main Road, Srinivasa Circle, Haleem Nagar, KSRTC Block Area, Industrial ‘A’ Layout and factories.
These are the commercial areas, with people also residing in those localities, but are continuously being neglected including this year. Hence, the areas mentioned above should be included in the tender for illumination, stated Baig in his request to District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, MLA Tanveer Sait, District Administration, Dasara Illumination Sub-Committee and Officers of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation.
