CM to launch development works worth Rs.121.55 crore
Madikeri: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will address the Congress Government’s ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ at Crystal Hall in Madikeri at 12 noon tomorrow (Jan.9).
During the Convention, the CM will launch a slew of development works across Kodagu, totally worth Rs.121.55 crore.
The works to be launched include construction of Gandhi Bhavan at Madikeri at a cost of Rs.3 crore and other infrastructure development works taken up in different places across the district.
The CM will inaugurate Valmiki Bhavan at Virajpet built at a cost of Rs.1 crore, Ekalavya Residential School auditorium at Balugodu village, Students’ Hostel at Nittur-Kannad village built at a cost of Rs.92.90 lakh and Post-Matric Girls’ Hostel at Madikeri built at a cost of Rs.198 lakh.
Siddharamaiah will also dedicate Rs.2.85 crore Kunjila-Igguthappa Temple Road and Bethu-Balamuri Link Road laid at a cost of Rs.1.01 crore, among other works.
Madikeri MLA Appachu Ranjan will preside over the programme, while Legislative Council Chairman D.H. Shankarmurthy and Kodagu District in-Charge Minister M.R. Seetharam will be the chief guests.
Ahead of the Chief Minister’s Kodagu visit, DC P.I. Sreevidya, SP P. Rajendra Prasad, ZP CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra, ADC M. Satish Kumar and other officials visited Crystal Court premises and reviewed the preparations.
