Buoyed by the positive response to median strip gardens at Hardinge Circle and some roads, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is extending the beautification project to other areas too.
While the median gardens (median strip or central reservation is the reserved area that separates opposing lanes of traffic on divided roadways, such as divided highways, dual carriageways, freeways and motorways) are enhancing the beauty of newly-laid roads, they are also helping the MCC to catch the attention of the Swachh Survekshan Survey team that is assessing the cleanliness of the city for the Swachh Bharat Rankings.
Pots are being placed on concrete medians where ornamental and eye-catching flowering plants are being planted.
