Mysuru: Jayadeva Hospital Director Dr. K.S. Ravindranath said that the works on the construction of 80-bed dormitory at Jayadeva Hospital premises on KRS Road in the city is under progress.
Speaking after carrying out an inspection of the works in Jayadeva Hospital premises here yesterday, Dr. Ravindranath said that the Dormitory is being built at a cost of Rs. 4.5 crore.
Pointing out the Dormitory is aimed at helping the kith and kin who accompany patients to the Hospital, he said that there was an urgent need for the dormitory as the number of patients to the Hospital is increasing by the day.
“The dormitory will be a four-storeyed one with a total of 80 beds. The works are expected to be complete in a year. Instructions have been given to the authorities concerned for maintaining quality in construction. The dormitory had become an absolute necessity as a large number of patients from neighbouring districts were visiting the Hospital for treatment of various heart ailments,” he said.
It is hoped that the works are expected to be complete as scheduled, he added.
Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. K.S. Sadananda, Financial Advisor Avinash Gerald, Dr. Dinesh, Dr. Pashupathi, Dr. Devaraj, Harish Kumar and others were present.
