Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka State Construction Workers Central Association, which held its quarterly meeting at Jaladarshini Guest House here on Friday, urged the Labour Department to extend its co-operation for the Association’s activities and welfare measures.
The meeting discussed non- co-operation of Labour Department staff in getting Governmental benefits and other issues. It also deliberated on sensitising construction workers on various schemes and programmes of State and Union Governments meant for construction workers. The meeting resolved to meet the State Labour Commissioner for appropriate redressal of all issues concerning construction and other allied workers.
Association General Secretary Shivakumar read out the purpose, objectives and activities of the Association. The meeting was chaired by Association President P. Raju.
Association office-bearers Venugopal, Kantharaju, Lokesh Kumar, Veerendra, Rehman Khan, Antony Johnson, Nagaraj, Siddappa, Puttamadaiah, Hoovaiah, Suresh Bhagya, Suvarnamma, Vasantha, Anjaneya, Parashuram, Mylarappa, Chandrashekar, Ramappa and others were present.
