Supriya Salian, Chairperson, CII, Mysuru, delivers talk on “COVID, WFH and Beyond”
Mysuru: Convergence 3i, the ‘Industry-Institute-Inter-action’ event by SDM-IMD, Mysuru with CII, Mysuru, was held online recently.
The invited audience for this programme were the Final Year degree students from across India, young executives and degree completed students from Mysuru and surrounding areas. SDM-IMD students and faculty and several CII members were present at the event.
Chief guest Supriya Salian, Chairperson, CII, Mysuru Chapter, delivered a talk on “Covid, WFH and Beyond: Opportunities for the Indian Youth” wherein, she brought out the current business scenario and its realities.
Later, in a panel discussion on “How can I prepare myself to become more valuable to my employer: An employer’s perspective” with Dr. Dharma Prasad, Convener of the Industry-Institute Panel, CII Mysuru, with three student members, T. Jeyashri, Swaroop A. Tehsildar and Guru Pranesh was held.
Dr. S.N. Prasad, Deputy Director of SDM-IMD, was the moderator of this discussion.
Both the views of the employers as well as the aspirations of the youths were brought out by the panellists. Over 120 students from across India participated in the event and the question-answer session were of high relevance to the student community.
Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director, SDM-IMD, gave the opening address. Prof. C.V. Sridhar, Faculty at SDM-IMD, proposes a vote of thanks. Dr. S.N. Prasad introduced the audience to the purpose, significance and background of the event Convergence 3i which is being conducted for 12th year since 2010.
