Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Crime Prevention Month, Legal and COVID-19 awareness programmes were held at Metagalli Police Station in city on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Metagalli Police Inspector Mallesh underscored the need for people’s co-operation to check and detect crime. He also advised people to follow rules and resolve civil disputes without moving Courts. In the wake of pandemic, people must follow safety norms strictly, he added.
Chennappaji of JC Tech distributed face mask to the participants in the function. K. Vidya, Judge, CJM and JMFC, Mysuru, attended as representative of District Legal Services Authority. Dr. Gururaj and Dr. Harsihini from K.R. Hospital and others participated.
In another function, Munirathnamma, Judge, 2nd JMFC, attended a function organised by Lashkar Police Station and pasted Corona awareness stickers on autorickshaws and distributed masks to auto drivers, at Sub-Urban Bus Stand in city.
She also asked them to be careful and wear masks and maintain social distancing. Lashkar Police Inspector Sureshkumar and staff were present.
