Mysore/Mysuru: Ward No.48 (Jayanagar) Coporator M.S. Shobha distributed 500 grocery kits to the residents of her Ward at her residence in Saraswathipuram.
Each kit contained 5kg rice, 2kg wheat, 1kg dal, 1kg rava, 1kg sugar, 1kg salt, 1 litre cooking oil and 2 pieces (achchu) of jaggery.
Speaking on the occasion, Shobha said that so far personally she had distributed 1,800 kits to the needy people and now she was distributing 500 kits from Rs.1 lakh she had received in the first phase out of Rs.10 lakh allotted to each Corporator from the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and by putting Rs.1.5 lakh from her own pocket.
Shobha’s father B.L. Shankar, leaders Nagaraju, Keerthi, Mahesh, Naveen and Lokesh were present.
