Course on ‘Good Food Laboratory Practices’ held at DFRL

Dr. N. Bhaskar, Advisor (QA), FSSAI, New Delhi, is seen addressing the gathering at DFRL in city recently.

Mysuru:  A five-day course on ‘Good Food Laboratory Practices (GFLP)’ was organised by Food and Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) at Defence Food Research Laboratory at Siddarthanagar in city recently.

The course was aimed to refresh the knowledge and skills in good food laboratory practices as per FSSAI guidelines.

Speaking after inaugurating the course, Dr. N. Bhaskar, Advisor (QA), FSSAI, New Delhi, deliberated the purpose of organising the course and the vision of FSSAI in this regard.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Director of DFRL, delivered the Presidential address and briefed about DFRL.

About 20 lectures and demonstration of analytical techniques were part of the course.

Dr. G.K. Sharma, Associate Director, welcomed the gathering. Dr. D.D. Wadikar, Scientist-E and Course Co-ordinator, proposed a vote of thanks.

Participants from Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh attended the course.
