Cover this open drain on Lalitha Mahal Road

Sir,It is a welcome step by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to clean up the Raja Kaluves and drains ahead of monsoon. I would like to draw the attention of the authorities to a big open drain at the junction of the Arch Gate on Lalitha Mahal Road. There is a small strip of road on one side of the junctionwhich joins the main road leading to helipad. The drain is filled with mud and other waste to the brim. It is not easily visible as a small brick barrier is built at the neck of the road. But is deep enough and difficult to make out where it leads to.There are a couple of smaller openings surrounding the drain, which are covered with shrubs and hence not visible. I am a regular morning walker on this road and have found this open since several years. If this barrier was not there, it would have resulted in many accidents and loss of many lives. I request the authorities to take steps to clean up and cover these drains also (see pic).
