Sir,
In addition to giving a strong blow to the economy, COVID-19 is collapsing health, knowledge and education system of our future citizens.
Now the Government is in a dilemma to re-open or otherwise the educational institutions with the fear of further outbreak. At the same time keeping schools closed for long makes the children lazy deviating them from studies.
All parents cannot afford neither individual smart phones nor laptops to all the children of their respective families with 2 GB data packs per day, which is highly insufficient for online classes without required towers and stable networks outside city limits.
If everything is congenial there are every chances that the young students may get addicted to mobiles. It is advisable to use the present 10 and odd Kannada channels for this genuine education purpose at different stipulated timings with repetition for different standards which will definitely reach each and every student in their own safe homes itself, helps in updating the knowledge of parents to great extent who can also help the students in turn.
Kannada ‘Chandana’ channel is most ideal and handy since it is at free of cost touching every nook and corner of the entire State. At the end of the classes a phone number may be given for student’s interactions/clarifications or doubts if any with the concerned teachers.
