Mysuru: Accusing the BJP Government at the Centre of favouring corporates, over 50 members of Communist Party of India (CPI), as part of the party’s nationwide stir, staged a demonstration near Mahatma Gandhi’s bust opposite the city Law Courts Complex this morning.
Criticising the Centre for rising prices of essential commodities, the protestors demanded creation of jobs, implementation of M.S. Swaminathan Committee Report on farm prices in full, dropping of amendments to Right to Information Act and dropping of amendments to Labour laws that favoured only the employers, among others.
CPI leaders H.V. Seshadri, Raju Ramakrishna and others took part in the stir.
