Cracker mishap: Three boys, woman injured

Mysuru: In separate incidents, three boys and a woman were injured while bursting crackers in city and surrounding places.

In the first incident, 15-year-old Manish of Vokkalageri suffered injuries on his hand when a cracker burst in his hands at J.K. Grounds here on Tuesday.

Manish was reportedly told by the cracker shop owner that it was only a smoke cracker and Manish in a bid to test it lit the cracker resulting in the cracker bursting in his left hand.

The injured Manish was rushed to nearby K.R. Hospital, where he was treated as an outpatient. Luckily, he suffered minor injuries.

In another incident, eight-year-old Syed of Kolar and 30-year-old Bhavya of Chamarajanagar, who had come to their relatives house in city, have been injured while bursting crackers. 

They too were treated as outpatients at K.R. Hospital for minor injuries.

In yet another incident, 15-year-old Darshan of Harave village in Hunsur taluk suffered injuries on his face and eyes when a flower pot burst while he was lighting it.

He has been admitted to the Burns Ward at K.R. Hospital where the doctors stated that there is no harm for his vision.
