Bhuvan Kumar, a 9th std student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in city has made the city proud through his selection to national cricket team of School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
Bhuvan, recently represented that Kendriya Vidyalaya State Team in the national level tournament and earned his selection to the SGFI national team with the help of good consistent performances. The medium fast bowler represents RBNCC ‘B’ team in the Mysuru Zonal League and trains under cricket coach Surendra. He also a part of the KSCA cricket academy where is being coached by senior cricketers M.S. Ravindra, K.R. Pavan and Deepak.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Principal Nirmala Kumari, KSCA Mysuru Zone Convenor S. Balachandar have congratulated Bhuvan Kumar for his achievements. He is the son of H.R. Venkatesh Kumar, an RBI employee and Kavitha Rani couple, resident of RBI Quarters at Metagalli in city.
