Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Crime Prevention Month by City Police to create awareness on prevention of crimes among the public, Jayalakshmipuram and Cyber Economic and Narcotics (CEN) Crime Police personnel took out a bicycle rally in city yesterday morning.
The bicycle rally was flagged off by NR Sub-Division ACP Shivashankar from the Clock Tower in Manasagangothri campus and the rally covered a distance of 12 kms.
The bicycle rally passed through the main thoroughfares of the city including Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Nort Gate of Mysore Palace, Sayyaji Rao Road and D. Devaraj Urs Road.
Placards with messages such as ‘Do not drink and drive’, ‘No triple riding’, ‘Follow traffic rules’, ‘Do not involve yourself in criminal activities’, etc. were tied to the bicycles to create awareness among the public.
Jayalakshmipuram Inspector Jayakumar and staff of both Jayalakshmipuram and CEN Crime Police Stations took part in the bicycle rally.
