Mysuru: Mysuru-based CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI) was awarded the first prize in Siridhanya Awards-2019 for Excellence in Research and Development in Millets.
The award was received by Dr. KSMS Raghavarao, Director, CSIR-CFTRI, from N.H. Shivashankara Reddy, Minister for Agriculture, at the concluding session of the Organics and Millets-2019 International Trade Fair held in Bengaluru between
CSIR-CFTRI gets R&D Excellence AwardJan.18-20.
CSIR-CFTRI has contributed to the value addition of several millets by providing ground- breaking technologies including Ragi Mudde-making machine, noodles, decortication processes and machineries for millets, and multi-grain food products. The award was in recognition of these contributions and carried a plaque and a cash award of Rs. 30,000.
