D.Ed training for special teachers

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department for Empowerment of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens is conducting training programmes for special teachers to teach visual and hearing impaired students at Helen Keller Government Training Centre for Visually Impaired and Hearing Impaired in Tilaknagar.

About special D.Ed programme: The courses offered are D.Ed Special Education-Visual Impairment (for teaching visually impaired students) and D.Ed Special Education-Hearing Impairment (for teaching hearing impaired students).

General category applicants should have scored 50 percent marks in SSLC  and PUC.  45 percent marks is required for those belonging to SC, ST,  specially-abled candidates. The course will be for two years.

After the training, the Special Teachers can work in Government and aided Schools run by grants from Department for Empowerment of  Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens, work in regular Government and Private Schools as resource persons and teachers and as resource persons in District Hospitals.

 Applications can be downloaded by logging on to https://www.rehabcouncil.nic.in/. The last date to apply is July 31.
