Bengaluru: Even as hectic lobbying has begun for KPCC President’s post, Energy Minister D.K. Shivakumar seems to be the front runner for the post with AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi keen to nominate him for the post according to top sources.
Realising Rahul Gandhi’s backing for him, D.K. Shivakumar, who was on a foreign tour, has rushed back to New Delhi and met top Congress leaders seeking their support. Shivakumar is also very much aware of the fact that some in the Congress are opposing him for the post.
Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Shivakumar said that his market value would rise if some in the Congress oppose his name for the KPCC President’s post. He however said he will abide by whatever decision the Congress high command takes in respect of KPCC.
