Mysore/Mysuru: Institution of Engineers India (IEI) as part of Sri D.V. Narasimha Rao Memorial Endowment Lecture Series had organised a special talk by Dr. Raghavendra Prasad, Chairman and Managing Director of Bhamys Group of Companies who spoke on the topic ‘High Rise Buildings: An Overview.’, at the Institution of Engineers premises on JLB, here recently.

Deliberating on the topic Dr. Prasad provided a comprehensive exploration of the evolution of high-rise buildings spanning over 13 decades.

He delved into the geographical distribution of high-rise buildings globally and shed light on the classification of high-rise structures among which the discussion on the proliferation of high-rise buildings in India, highlighting key developments and trends in the country caught the attention of the audience.

One of the key aspects of the lecture was the explanation of the structural systems employed in various high-rise structures. Raghavendra Prasad elaborated on the different structural methodologies used in high-rise construction and highlighted their respective strengths and limitations.
