58 teaching and non-teaching staff receive jabs
Mysore/Mysuru: Daksha PU College and GETS Academy at Hootagalli Industrial Area on Hunsur Road, Mysuru, are ready to bring back students with all the necessary precautions in place to ensure the safety and well-being of students by following the stipulated recommendations of WHO and Ministry of Health.
As part of the preventive steps, teaching and non-teaching staff including hostel wardens, house-keepers and canteen staff were vaccinated recently.
Of the total 31 teaching staff, 24 were administered Covishield and seven received Covaxin. Among 27 non-teaching staff, 21 were given Covishield and six Covaxin.
The institution also has a health centre with a dedicated and qualified nurse, taking all required measures to maintain and monitor health, hygiene and sanitation protocols.
Institution’s Hon. Chairman P. Jayachandra Raju said, “Our responsibility is to ensure that teachers and the entire staff of our institutions are vaccinated to pave way for safer in-person learning. Students want to return to college and if we instill trust and meet fear with facts, definitely we can end this COVID nightmare.”
Daksha PU College facilitates PU Science education integrated with CET, NEET & JEE and PU Commerce education with value-added modules. In line with the new National Education Policy (NEP-2020), GETS Academy offers specialised B.Com and BBA [Honors] programmes affiliated to University of Mysore.
