Mysuru: Accusing Mysore Varsity Registrar Prof. R. Rajanna of making baseless charges against Mysore Varsity Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayanand Mane, the Dalit Vidyarthi Okkuta and Dalit Research Scholars Association of UoM, have demanded immediate sacking of Rajanna.
Addressing the press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, Dalit Research Scholars Association President B. Murthy alleged that Rajanna was upset that Prof. Mane had withheld the salaries of 96 employees appointed by Rajanna in gross violation of norms, besides complaining to the Governor and Education Minister on Rajanna’s actions.
Rajanna who was looking for an opportunity to take revenge, has made baseless charges against Mane as part of his conspiracy, Murthy maintained and demanded sacking of Rajanna.
UoM girls hostel inmate and Dalit Research Scholars Association office-bearers Bhagya who also addressed the meet, claimed that no written complaint on Prof. Mane’s visit to the hostel was submitted to Rajanna and demanded action against Rajanna.
Okkuta President Nataraj Shivanna, Research Scholars Kalavathi, Vidya and others were present at the press meet.
