Vidu. Anusha Varun, disciple of Guru K. Sandesh Bhargav, is a renowned Bharatanatyam artiste and choreographer from Mysuru.
‘Chinthana Ramayana’ offers a fresh, contemplative approach to the ancient epic, blending the traditional narrative with deeper introspection and philosophical insights. Characters such as Rama, Lakshmana and Sita are shown to struggle with their duties, revealing the emotional and psychological toll that living according to dharma can sometimes have.
One of the most powerful aspects of ‘Chinthana Ramayana’ is how it connects the epic’s timeless themes with modern-day concerns. The moral lessons on dharma, the nature of relationships, the challenges of leadership, the cost of sacrifice and the importance of resilience resonate deeply with contemporary issues.
‘Chinthana Ramayana’ offers a path to deeper self-awareness, helping audience navigate their own journeys with greater insight and purpose. The concept of dance-drama was conceived by K. Sandesh Bhargav, kruti composition by Dr. Jyothi Shankar and music composition by Balasubramanya Sharma.
