Sri Tyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust
A special Karnatak Classical music programme was arranged by Sri Tyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, which was co-sponsored by Rotary Mysore West, on Nov.19, as part of Children’s Day celebration at the auditorium of Rotary Mysore (West) in Saraswatipuram.
The inaugural function was chaired by the well-known art patron of the city and Hon. President of the Sabha, K.V. Murthy.
Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy, Hon. Secretary of the Sabha, was also on the dais.
Students of almost all the well known music teachers of the city showcased their talent in the fields of vocal music, flute and violin on the stage.
They proved that the roots of the classical music is strong and deep in their hearts. Instrumental accompaniments were also ably provided by children.
The initiative of Sri Tyagaraja Sangeeta Sabha in providing stage to talented young artistes, was highly lauded as a great step in supporting them, by all music lovers and parents of the children.
More than hundred young artists performed on the occasion, which was attended by many music teachers and parents of the students.
Mysuru: ” On the occasion of Children’s Day, under the direction of Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, students of Noopura Kalavidharu Samskruthika Trust, J.P. Nagar performed Bharatanatyam at Vasudevacharya Bhavan on Nov.14.
About 25 students performed on this occasion. They were accompanied on Natuvanga by Prof. Ramamurthy Rao, vocal by Dr. Deepa Raghunandan, mridanga by Vid. M.R. Hanumanth Raju, flute by Vid. Bharathraj and Rhythm Pads by Raghavendra Prasad.
State award winning child artist Siri Vanalli inaugurated the programme. Budding Bharatanatyam dancer Spoorthy S. Rao was the chief guest. Art patron Kala Seva Ratna K.V. Murthy presided over the event.
