Mysuru: The valedictory of the ‘Dasara Doll Arrangement Contest-2018’ was organised jointly by Bharat Vikas Parishat and Ramsons Kala Prathishtana at Prathima Galleries Bombe Mane premises in Nazarbad here recently.
Inaugurating the programme, Industrialist Dr.M. Jagannath Shenoy opined that the arrangements of dolls was a symbol of our culture which should go on for generations. He added that dolls form an important item during Navaratri celebrations.
The contest was held under five categories namely Associations, Groups A+, A, B and C.

A+ Group: 1. Geetha Srihari, Giridarshini Layout, 2. Vijaya Radhakanth, JP Nagar and 3. Ram, T.K. Layout.
A Group: 1. Nagaprasad, Saraswathipuram, 2. Ramamani Gurudath, Ramakrishnanagar and 3. G. Rajeshwari, Aravindanagar. Consolation prize was won by Padmapriya of Agrahara (Ramanuja Road).
B Group: 1. Amitha Achyuth, Ittigegud, 2. Rajani Krishna, Srirampura, 3. V.S. Priyanka, Gokulam and 4. Suma Shivaprakash, T.K. Layout.
C Group: 1. Swaroopini, Ramakrishnanagar, 2. Swaroopa Nandakumar, Jayalakshmipuram, 3. Nishchita, Nazarbad and 4. Manjula Swamy, Dattagalli. Special prize: Renuka Srinivas, Ashoka Road.
