Mysore/Mysuru: Like every year, Dasara Flower Show will be organised on a grand scale this year too, with the Department of Horticulture convening a special meeting under the Chairmanship of Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on Sept. 1.
Flower show is one of the prominent attractions of the annual event with Horticulture Department earning accolades every year with its innovative concepts.
This year too, novel ideas are set to bloom to retain the freshness of Flower Show at Kuppanna Park, that comes alive on all the nine days of Navarathri. No less than, several lakhs of footfalls are witnessed every year, with the visitors getting a peek into flowers of myriad hues and attractive topiary.
During previous Dasara, Flower Show was unique for the floral replica of 20-feet tall Rashtrapati Bhavan adorning the Glass House and another of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar being the prominent attractions.
Assistant Director of Horticulture, Manjunath Angadi told Star of Mysore that “Continuing with its innovative plans, the Department of Horticulture is making all preliminary arrangements. All the plans including attractive features will be discussed and decided during the special meeting of ZP CEO.”
