Mysuru: The historic Mysuru Dasara festival of 2024 achieved a major breakthrough in its digital presence, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Government agencies and technology partners.
A dedicated team of over 40 professionals managed the festival’s digital platform, which saw remarkable engagement. By blending tradition with cutting-edge technology, this centuries-old celebration is now reaching global audiences, fostering greater appreciation and participation in Karnataka’s cultural heritage.
The cumulative viewership across all platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, news channels, and websites, reached an impressive 97 lakh.
Dasara’s digital footprint was significantly amplified through live streaming on social media pages with a combined following of over 15 million, including the Chief Minister of Karnataka’s page, the page of Department of Information and Public Relations, and local influencers.
In addition, comprehensive live streaming of all events on the official website, complete with archives of the past five years’ footage, offered easy access to viewers. Over 680 television channels broadcasted the events using advanced cloud studio technology, further boosting online viewership.
Key aspects of the digital coverage included live streaming, videography, cinematography, media uplinks, UI/UX design, social media marketing and live news feed updates.
