Dasara with pothole-filled garbage-dumped roads!

Sir,

The world famous Dasara will soon be witnessed in our city and the district authorities are preparing for the grand event.

However, we observe that many roads are riddled with potholes, making driving a miserable experience, especially after the recent rains. Poor quality of roadwork has led to severe damage in prime areas like Bogadi-Gaddige Road and the stretch from Sharadadevinagar to the Ring Road junction.

Similarly, the dumping of garbage is escalating day by day, particularly along the service roads of the Ring Road. People are using every available spot along these roads, while no action is taken by the authorities to prevent or clear it.

The highway patrolling unit could help curb this issue, especially as the situation worsens with people dumping large quantities of banned plastic covers.

We kindly request the authorities to take immediate action so that we can celebrate Dasara on pothole-free roads and in a garbage-free city.
