Day-long Udyoga Mela in city

Mysuru: A day-long Udyoga Mela (Job Fair), organised by the Department of Employment and Training, began at the District Employment Exchange in Government ITI premises on Mysuru-Bengaluru road, N.R. Mohalla, this morning.

About 40 companies, including Surabhi Plant Tech, Eureka Forbes, Tejaswini Enterprises, Retail Works India (P) Ltd., Hinduja Global Solutions, Raja Biotech and Grassroots (Mysuru), are taking part in this Mela.

The Mela is open to candidates with educational qualifications ranging from seventh standard to degree (PUC, JOC, ITI, Diploma etc.), who can choose from over 600 jobs offered by the participating companies.

However, some candidates who had professional educational qualifications such as BE, M.Sc, and other technical degrees, were also seen visiting the Mela in search of jobs.

Addressing the Mela participants, District Employment Officer C. Vishwanath Bharani said that the Department has organised the Mela in accordance with the objectives of the Union and State Governments in providing jobs and enhancement of skills.

Pointing out that the candidates have to register with Kaushalya Karnataka, Bharani called upon the candidates to make best use of the Mela and choose the best job based on their qualification and skills.
