The Solid Waste Management of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) was reviewed by Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep at a meeting held at his office here this morning.
Randeep took stock of the Solid Waste Treatment Plants running at Vidyaranyapuram, Kesare and Rayanakere. Realising that the lakes were not being continuously fed by storm water drains, the DC asked the officials concerned to set right the missing links.
He urged the officials to ensure that building debris were dumped only at designated places and not indiscriminately. He asked MCC officials to take over the new layouts soon after co-ordinating with MUDA.
MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, MUDA Commissioner Dr. M. Mahesh, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) Senior Environment Officers Yathish, Lingaraj & Geetha, MCC Superintending Engineer Suresh Babu, Health Officers Dr. Ramachandra and Dr. Nagaraj attended the meeting.
