Mysuru/Mysore: The District Administration, under the Atal Ji Janasnehi Project, in 2013, had placed an order with a firm to provide UPS services worth Rs. 3.98 lakh but the payment for the same was delayed.
In this regard, the firm had approached the Lok Adalat, which ordered the district administration to pay the amount on Sept. 30, 2019, failing which had ordered attachment of furniture from the Office.
As per the order, Court authorities, yesterday reached the DC Office to attach the furniture and started loading up the cargo van.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, B.R. Poornima, who was informed of the incident, immediately rushed back to the Office from a meeting she was attending with CM Yediyurappa in K.R. Nagar and assured the firm owner that Mysuru DC Abhiram G. Sankar would release a cheque for the pending amount by Wednesday.
The district administration authorities filed a petition as soon as the Court authorities reached the DC Office to seize the furniture. A few furniture which were shifted from the DC Office, were later released. The Court withdrew the order till Feb. 6, said the Additional DC.
