Mysuru: Dasara Special Officer and Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has requested the Department of Public Instructions to sanction Dasara holidays in Mysuru from Sept. 21 to Oct. 5.
In a letter to the Dept., the DC has said that the State Government has declared Oct. 11 to 25 as Dasara Holidays for the academic year 2017-2018.Since this year’s Dasara falls from Sept. 21 to 30, holidays in Mysuru must be declared from Sept. 21 to Oct. 5 enabling the children and teachers to take part in the celebrations, the DC said.
