Mysore/Mysuru: With Prime Minister Modi scheduled to take part in the International Day of Yoga in city on June 21, MP Pratap Simha had set a one-day deadline for the advertisers to remove their hoardings installed on Mysuru-Kadakola stretch of Mysuru-Nanjangud Highway.
The MP on Monday launched the drive for removal of advertisement boards/ hoardings that had come up illegally all along the Highway.
Speaking to press persons on the occasion, Simha recalled that boards and hoardings that were installed along the entire 43.5 km stretch of the Ring Road were removed using gas cutters when the drive for removal of construction debris was taken up a few months ago.
Now, a similar drive has been launched on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road during which advertisement boards and hoardings will be removed.
As the deadline for advertisers and all those who have installed flex boards to remove them ended yesterday, the illegal boards and hoardings will be brought down using gas cutters from today.
