New Delhi : The Central Government is making it mandatory for linking Aadhaar Card number to many of the services availed by the people like banking, mobile sim, pan card, Public Provident Fund (PPF). The deadline for linking of these services to Aadhaar is also different and here is information about them.
Bank Account: According to the information available, the deadline for the banks to link customers’ accounts to their Aadhaar is Dec.31, 2017. In order to make it easy for the customers, Aadhaar centres have been opened in banks. Aadhaar can be linked through mobile and internet banking to the bank accounts.
Pan Card: In order to stop illegal transaction of money through fake Pan Cards, Aadhaar has to be linked to Pan Cards on or before Dec. 31, 2017.
PPF, NSC, KVP, Post Office: The Centre has made it mandatory for linking Aadhaar to Post Office Savings Account, PPF, NSC and KVP and the last date is Dec.31, 2017.
Social Service Schemes: There are 135 social service schemes including MNREGA, LPG, Ration Card and the beneficiaries should link their Aadhaar numbers with the schemes concerned on or before Dec. 31, 2017.
Mobile Sim: There is time to link mobile sims to Aadhaar till Feb.6, 2018.
Mutual Funds: Even to link mutual funds with Aadhaar, Dec.31, 2017 is the last date.
