‘Deepa Nadige Sangeethadondige’ programme on Oct. 28

Mysuru: As an initiative to promote culture, city’s Raghuleela Music school will be holding Deepa Nadige Sangeethadondige, a Music Walk carrying lighted lamps, at Yoganarasimha Swamy Temple in Vijayanagar here on Oct. 28.

Announcing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here recently, Writer and Humorist Prof. M. Krishnegowda said that more than 150 students of the school will take out a walk singing Deepavali songs and holding lamps on the main thoroughfares of Vijayanagar at 5 pm covering a distance of 1 km, before returning to Yoganarasimha Swamy Temple, the starting point.

Later,Yoga exponent Kushi will present a Yoga performance, following which he (Prof. Krishnegowda) will deliver ‘Deepa Nudi’.

GSS Foundation’s Srihari, who also addressed the press meet said that the programme has been organised to promote culture and health.There are plans to extend this programme to other localities as well, he added.

Raghuleela Music School’s  Sunitha Kumar, MDJA President C.K. Mahendra, Corporator M.U. Subbaiah and others were present at the press meet.
