Raaga Vaibhava Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will present a Bharatanatyam by Deepa Srinath Bungale, USA, tomorrow (July 27) at 6 pm at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road, Mysuru.
Profile: Raised in Bengaluru, Deepa grew up in an environment filled with dance and music. She learnt Bharatanatyam under three Gurus Radha Sridhar, Sheejith Krishna and Karuna Sagari. As a solo artiste, Deepa has been performing since 2001 and has given more than 150 performances including thematic productions and televised shows. One of the collaborative works Deepa did was at the worldwide book release event of ‘Murthy Classical Library of India’ at the Harvard Art Museum, in which Deepa performed two excerpts from the books released.
Deepa has been teaching Bharatanatyam in her school ‘Vaibhava’ since 13 years and conducts ‘Rasa Vaibhava’ every year. Her students Ninitha Balamurali, Shivani Bhatt, Rithika Ramkumar and Navya Bungale will be joining her tomorrow.
The artistes will be accompanied by Rajeev Rajagopalan on vocal, T.S. Sharat on Natuvangam, Rakesh Sudhir on flute and Shashishankar on mridanga.
