Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘Sly Move! Railways quietly moving royal vintage locomotives from Mysuru’ (SOM dated Mar.19).
First of all, I congratulate our MP Pratap Simha for his care and concern towards heritage of Mysuru. He has been raising a lot of issues pertaining to Railway projects in Mysuru and Kodagu. But I am quite surprised how come his attention has not gone towards the defunct toy train at Bal Bhavan in Bannimantap for so many years.
Every child wishes to enjoy a ride in the toy train during week-ends. But the kids are not fortunate enough to enjoy this facility due to lack of co-ordination among various Departments.
Our MP was very much annoyed over shifting of a heritage locomotive from Mysuru to Hubballi. Now will he make the toy train operational so that our Mysuru children can say ‘Thank You Simha Uncle.’
I hope our MP will take up this matter with the authorities concerned and do justice to Mysuru.
