‘Delhi Chalo’ on Oct. 16 against ED

Mysuru: In what he described as a “politically motivated” move to undermine Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, K.S. Shivaramu, President of the Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike, alleged that the Central Government has initiated an Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe against the CM.

Announcing a ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest scheduled for Oct. 16, Shivaramu declared that the Forum plans to submit a formal complaint to the President of India, condemning what they see as “malicious intent” behind the investigation.

Speaking at a press conference at Pathrakarthara Bhavan yesterday, Shivaramu accused the JD(S)-BJP alliance of conspiring to remove Siddaramaiah from his position as Chief Minister. He pointed fingers at Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra as central figures orchestrating this political ploy.

Shivaramu further revealed that R. Raghu Kautilya, President of the BJP OBC Morcha, had allegedly obtained various documents from Gangaraju, an RTI activist, which were later handed over to the complainant, Snehamayi Krishna. According to Shivaramu, this points to a deliberate conspiracy against Siddaramaiah.

Challenging the grounds of the ED investigation, Shivaramu underscored Siddaramaiah’s pivotal role in advocating for social justice, particularly for backward classes, minorities, and Dalits. He warned that any attempt to unseat Siddaramaiah would deal a severe blow to the cause of social justice in the State.
