New Delhi: The Delhi High Court ban order on illegal online E-Pharma companies to sell medicines across the country will continue.
Delhi-based dermatologist Zaheer Ahmed had filed a PIL complaining that lakhs of medicines were being sold on the internet every day without much regulation, by illegal e-pharma companies posing a huge risk to patients and doctors alike.
The Delhi High Court had passed an interim order banning the sales of medicines online. Besides, it had also asked the Central Government to react by serving it a notice.
The High Court Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice K.V. Rao, who took up the case for hearing again on Wednesday, passed an order continuing the ban. Further hearing has been posted for May 9.
