Mysuru lad Arnav Pathange, representing India and teaming up with Tarush Bagai, went down in semi-finals in the junior boys doubles event in Delhi ITF Junior Grade IV Tennis Tournament being held at Delhi from Nov.26 to Dec.1.
On Thursday, Lancelot Carnello (Swe) and Darshan Suresh (Mal) combined well to beat Mysuru lad Arnav Pathange and Tarush Bagai 7-5, 7-5 to enter the final. In the quarter-finals, Arnav Pathange and Tarush Bagai beat Babir Hans and Krish Patel of India 1-6, 6-0 (10-8).
In the pre-quarter-finals, Arnav and Tarush got the better of India’s Anurag Agarwal and Sarthak Suden 6-3, 6-1. In the junior boys singles event, Tarush Bagai beat Arnav Pathange 7-6 (6), 7-5 to progress further.
In the previous leg at ITF Gawuhati, India’s Uddayvir Singh and Denim Yadav beat Arnav Pathange and D.Sanjith 6-4, 6-3 in the pre-quarterfinals of men’s doubles event. In the junior boys singles, Uddayvir beat Arnav 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.
