Sir,
Most of the main roads in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage (in and around) are in pathetic conditions. While few interior roads were asphalted recently, the main roads (High Tension road, Kannada Sahitya Parishat road, Water Tank road, and other main roads) are unmotorable.
These roads provide main connectivity to many other areas and the traffic is growing by the day. Footpaths have vanished near Water Tank area due to unmindful parking and some establishments acquiring the areas for business purposes. There are numerous messages by residents appearing even in SOM but all falling on deaf ears, probably. Garbage menace in on the rise, especially in secluded areas (near Vidyavardhaka Engineering College) where people are dumping garbage mindlessly, the overpopulated stray dogs of the area add to the woes of the residents.
Overgrown trees on Kannada Sahitya Parishat road cover almost one fourth of the road. It seems like the area is really neglected by the elected representatives. Anyone hearing?
