Bengaluru: Expressing discontent over the non-implementation of the House Committee Report on NICE Ltd., former PM and JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda has written to the State Government to initiate action against the company at the earliest.
In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and Law Minister T.B. Jayachandra, Deve Gowda has objected to the Government, trying to give a ‘quiet burial’ to the report on Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure project implemented by NICE Ltd. Though the Government accepted the report a year ago, it has failed to act on it, he said.
The former PM said that the Committee was formed by the Legislative Assembly Speaker after several hours of discussion and debate in the House about the illegalities, irregularities, misrepresentation and fraud by the project promoters in collusion with the Government machinery.
“But the Government has not taken any action from January 2014 till date to amend the BDA and KIADB Acts in line with the New Land Acquisition Act of 2013,” he added.
