Mysore/Mysuru: “Prominence must be given for development of toilets, compounds and drinking water facilities in Government Schools to help rural students,” said Zilla Panchayat (ZP) CEO B.R. Poornima.
She was addressing Pan-chayat Development Officers (PDOs) and various Department Officers at the Progress Review meeting in Nanjangud Taluk Panchayat (TP) auditorium recently. Instructing the officials to introduce digital libraries in every Panchayat, she said the main motto of introducing library is to help every student and also for the development of Anganwadis. “Textbooks, reference books and competitive exam guides must be kept at the libraries to help students to shape their future,” she said.
Inspecting the Amrit Sarovar Yojana works, the ZP CEO instructed officials to complete the works of the three lakes within the taluk limits before Aug. 15 and hoist the Tri-colour to celebrate 75th Independence Day.
“Construct Solid Waste Disposal Unit to maintain hygiene and also complete the plumbing works of all houses under Jal Jeevan Mission,” she added,
ZP Deputy Secretary (Administration), TP Administrator Krishnaraju, TP Executive Officer Srinivas and others were present.
