Mysore/Mysuru: Krishnaraja (KR) MLA S.A. Ramdas held a meeting with officials of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and asked them to take up the emergency projects on priority for overall development of his constituency.
Chairing a meeting held at MCC Old Council Hall here yesterday, he said a detailed proposal has been prepared for the development of KR Constituency on the occasion 75th anniversary of Indian Independence. One of them has been conversion of the existing roads into ‘safety road’. The Assembly segment has 422 km road of which 200 km stretch of road was in bad condition. Steps must be taken to keep this road in good condition. Measures have been taken to make KR Constituency as ‘Safety Road’ constituency by August 15, 2022, he added.
Ramdas said 114 parks, 18 crematoriums and six circles are identified for development under the Nagarotthana scheme. The identified places will be developed to make Krishnaraja as a model constituency. Plans are afoot to provide houses for the shelter-less people in the Constituency.
MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, Additional Commissioner Shashikumar and others attended the meeting.
