DFRL Director inaugurates Science Club activity

DFRL Director Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma is seen lighting the lamp to inaugurate Geetha Science Club activity at GSSS Badriprasadji PU College in Siddarthanagar recently as others look on.

Mysuru: Geetha Science Club activity was inaugurated recently at GSSS Badriprasadji PU College in Siddarthanagar by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Sceintist ‘G’ and Director of  DFRL.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Dr. R.K. Sharma, highlighted the importance of applications in the field of science and technology; opportunities and challenges based on the current trend through interesting scientific facts.

Dwelling on the type of research that students can start thinking of, concept of innovation in the field of science and technology,  he also explained about development of pack rations, their quality assurances, preservations and distant transportation of preserved food items. The lecture covered the emergence of food technology and new technologies on preservation. He also gave a demonstration on DFRL products which are used in various areas such as Defence, Agriculture, SME and so on.

Srinivasa  Gupta, Vice-President of GSSS, B.K Nataraj, Coordinator, Dr. Raviraja, Principal, C. Nagarathna, Science Club Convener and students, were present on the occasion.
