Differently-abled walk to beat plastic pollution

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of World Environment Day, EquiBeing Foundation, along with District Disability Welfare Office, JSS Polytechnic for Differently Abled (JSS PDA), had organised ‘Hasiru Drishti,’  a walkathon to beat plastic pollution recently.

Around 700 students and more than 100 staff members from JSS PDA were part of the event.

Earlier in the day, wildlife photography was also inaugurated at JSS PDA campus. Around 100-plus wildlife photographs were displayed.

The walkathon, which was flagged off at Crawford Hall, passed through Kukkarahalli Lake, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) and culminated at JSS PDA (SJCE campus). Nearly 1,000 differently-abled people, not only from across the district but also from neighbouring districts, took part in the walkathon.
