Bengaluru: D. Roopa, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police (Prisons) and M.N. Reddi, Director General of Police (DGP) Intelligence, are among five IPS officers who have been transferred with immediate effect.
DIG Roopa, who is in the news for her reports on the irregularities prevailing in Parappana Agrahara Jail, has been transferred and posted until further orders as DIG and Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety, Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, DGP M.N. Reddi, has been transferred and posted until further orders as DGP, Anti Corruption Bureau, Bengaluru, as per the Government notification dated July 17, 2017, signed by S.R. Basavarajaiah, Under Secretary to the Government, DP&AR (Services-4).
According to the notification, the other IPS Officers who have been transferred are: N.S. Megharikh, ADGP, Anti Corruption Bureau, Bengaluru as ADGP (Prisons), Bengaluru; Dr. A.S.N. Murthy, ADGP and Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety as ADGP (Forest Cell), Bengaluru and Amrit Paul, IGP (Intelligence) as DGP (Intelligence), Bengaluru.
